Sub : Recognition of UID No (Aadhaar Card) as a valid proof of Identity & Proof of Address.
In accordance with the direction issued by the Cabinet Secretariat, GoI, for recognition of UID No. as a valid proof of Identity & Address, it has been decided that the UID No. of the addressee may be treated as valid proof of identity and address for the purpose of delivery of accountable mail.
02. It is requested that this may be brought to the notice of all concerned for necessary action.
